What Is Brainstorming Technique & How Is It used?

 What Is Mind Brainstorming Method?

How many times have you used brainstorming to solve a problem? Even if you didn't realize it, you've used it at least once.

Brainstorming is a group problem-solving technique that involves spontaneously generating ideas and creative solutions that encourage participants to think non-stop. Brainstorming is a group activity in which each participant quickly shares the ideas they come up with the mind. At the end of the session, the ideas are categorized and presented for further processing.

Why Use Brainstorming?

Using brainstorming in problem-solving leverages the diverse experiences of team members. It increases the richness of ideas to consider. That means we can often find better solutions to the problems we face.

Traditional group problem-solving is often undermined by unhelpful group behavior. When solving problems, it is important to start with a structured analytical process, but it can lead the group to develop limited and unimaginative ideas.

Ideas should then be collected more formally and distributed to groups for review. Electronic mind maps are especially useful here because they help you visualize how your ideas are related. Categorizing and making it easier to evaluate ideas and prioritize actions.

How to Use the Brainstorming Method?

A combination of individual and group brainstorming, as outlined below, and managing the process according to the following "rules" often yields the best results. This allows the user to focus on the problem without interruption.

To run a group brainstorming session effectively, follow these steps.

Step 1: Prepare the Group

How much information and preparation does your team need to find a solution to your problem? Remember, preparation is key. First, choose a suitable and comfortable meeting room. This can be in the office or virtual. Think about what works best for your team. Next, consider who will be attending the meeting. Try to include people with different backgrounds and different ways of thinking.

Once everyone is assembled, nominate one person to record the ideas that come out of the session. This person does not necessarily have to be the manager of the team. It's hard to record and job at the same time. Post your notes so everyone can see them. B. Flipchart or whiteboard. Or use a computer with a data projector.
